Boston Family Photographer ~ Sneak Peeks from Early Summer Session at Larz Anderson Park Brookline MA

We had a gorgeous night over at Larz Anderson Park this week for this multi-generational Family Session while the grandparents were in town for a visit. This was my first time shooting at this location so I headed in early to have time to walk the area and assess the light and backdrops. As you can see from these few sneak peeks, we found endless picturesque spots on our loop from the stone gazebo with the water reflections to a small meadow of vibrant buttercups. And we of course held the buttercups under our chins to see if there was a yellow reflection to see who liked butter! 😉

Fun fact: The real reason these flowers seem to shine with an intense glittering yellow has nothing to do with butter but about advertising the plants to insect pollinators from a great distance.

Beverly Engagement Photographer ~ Sneak Peeks from Lynch Park

Headed down to NYC today but had to share a few sneak peeks from Laura and Owen’s Engagement Session at Lynch Park last night! Always a fave location but with Spring in full bloom and a perfectly timed low tide it couldn’t have gotten any better for their shoot. So thankful for couples who kiss on command for me for over an hour too. 😉

Pro tip: There is no right or wrong time to book an Engagement Session. I’ve shot them with couples who have been together and engaged for over decade. They are perfect for simply celebrating and capturing your love story at this moment in time. I love and recommend these shoots because it also gives couples a chance to not only feel comfortable working with a photographer but allows for a more casual vibe together as the wedding day is usually more formal and always a whirlwind.

Northern England ~ The North Sea, Castles + Puffins

On my recent three week trip to the UK, one highlight of many was a stop in Northumberland where we stayed at the lovely Lindisfarne Inn for the night. From there we explored the Lindisfarne Castle on Holy Island (only accessible at low tide); the spectacular Bamburgh Castle which dates back to the 6th century; and, took a boat trip on the North Sea to the Farne Islands where we saw different bird species (including bucket list puffins!), seals and had gorgeous views back to the silhouetted castles and the stunning coastline. Fun fact: Puffins are generally considered to be monogamous and mate for life.

Salem Hands Off Rally ~ April 2025

I really wanted to be in Boston today but woke up under the weather and the train only going as far as Swampscott with no coverage for my dog so had to make the game day decision to head over to Salem. I arrived just before noon and there were already hundreds on both sides at the designated meetup location at 93 Washington Street. Soon after we all marched up Washington St stopping traffic and gathered again in the square in front of the Salem Main Post Office. It was a great crowd except for one troublemaker who tried to pick fights with peaceful protesters. The only angry, hateful soul in the hundreds (thousands?) who rallied. He’s not hard to spot here. I then did a few drive bys on my way back home to add to the horn honking and energy. This is what democracy looks like (say it again and louder for those in the back!)

Note: I was very conscious making sure people were okay with being photographed and had permission to share the photo of the little girl holding up the “No Kings” sign too.

Newburyport Photographer ~ Wedding Proposal at the Newburyport Lighthouse

I *love* capturing wedding proposals at the Newburyport Lighthouse and this past weekend’s shoot may be my favorite so far at this magical location. Kevin was surprising his girlfriend Maria not only by popping the big question after their romantic lunch but also by having both of their families waiting at the bottom for them both as they exited. I normally only post a few sneak peeks to tide everyone over until the Viewing + Design Session but decided I had to share more of this perfect proposal story – from her saying yes atop the lighthouse to the family hiding behind it and her turning to see them all. Another one of my absolute favorites is her FaceTiming with his brother who was abroad and could only attend virtually. So much love and joy on a chilly but beautiful New England day.
