Boston Dog Photographer ~ Adoption Event with Last Hope K9 Rescue

What a turnout this past Sunday for the Last Hope K9 Rescue Adoption Event at The Garment District. As I entered the store, I saw the line wind down the stairs onto the main level. I’ve photographed LHK9 events at this location many times over the years and have never seen so many potential adopters! When I arrive fifteen minutes after the official 12PM start, several of the dogs had already been adopted and were getting ready to go home. There were eight dogs in total and I was able to capture three of their portraits with their new families as they headed to their new furever homes too. (Be sure to check the LHK9 FB page to see all the Happy Tails Tuesday pups each week!) As always, I lead the blog images with the dogs who didn’t get a deposit or adopted. A disclaimer that this first dog featured here – Pinto Comet – was SUCH a love that I went a bit overboard on his portraits. I have truly never seen a smile so big on a dog before. He’s absolute sweetheart and he’s photographed here meeting potential adopters in the store and also with his pawesome foster Momma Julia. I also have quite a few of sweet Jingle* next in the blog queue who is a bit shy but a lovely little lab/heeler mix. She was at the event with her foster Mom too and by the end she had gotten a deposit by potential new furever Mom Finley. Next is Will Warehouse whose a 10 Month old lab mix. He’s photographed with his foster parents and with potential adopters James and his Mom (fingers crossed that one worked out because it was clearly a match made in dog rescue heaven.) The next four – Mazzy Star, Ernest, Piper and Clara Belle – are all home and the last little guy – Gus Wooster whose seen here with his foster parents Greg + Larissa also got a deposit. Note: The dog’s name appears underneath the first image in the series as you scroll down. (*UPDATE 1/9/20 Jingle was adopted too!)
