It was the quintessential Fall day for a Last Hope K9 Adoption event at Smolak Farms – from pumpkins on the trees to apple picking and seasonal cider doughnuts. I can’t believe I’d never been there before. What a great location with so many backdrops for beautiful portraits. There were four LHK9 dogs in attendance and I think all had deposits within the first hour. Great day out. Here’s a few highlights from the afternoon including each pup’s photo with their new forever families. Thank you to ladies from Mount Ida College and Smolak Farms for hosting the event. First up is Lambic whose pictured here too with her new Mom & Dad, Pam and Mike. How cute that she and Mike serendipitously have matching plaids on too? Clearly a perfect match.

Next is little Tahlulah – or “Tally” – whose a nine month old Lab mix. She’s headed to the big city to live with her new parents, Sarah + Adam!
Blanche from the Golden Girls litter is another Lab mix and only sixteen weeks old. Jenn + Joe are scooping her up and I still can’t stop smiling at the photo we got of them together with Smolak Farms sign with their heads popping out.
Finally, is Harmony whom I met at the Just Dogs Newburyport event last weekend. She’s a Pyrenees/Aussie mix with the softest coat and the most stunning eyes. Unfortunately her pending adoption from that event fell through due to landlord restrictions but looks like she might be headed to Salisbury with Lisa so I am hoping that I see them both on the Rail Trail soon!
This all volunteer dog rescue non-profit org rocks. Cheers to all the volunteers who work tirelessly to help find each dog the perfect home. If you can’t adopt there are still so many ways to help out – from fostering to transporting dogs from QT and their events. And of course all donations help to fund their work too. You can also follow them on Facebook and “Like/Share” there posts so they get maximum exposure.
And finally just a few images of the property today too as Fall begins to slip away in New England.
Please “Share” and/or “Like” if you do.
