KLP was back this past weekend at Mystic Brewery in Chelsea, MA to photograph the Last Hope K9 Rescue Adoption Event. Eight dogs on a hot summer day with cold brew and half finding their forever homes – what could be better? As always, I start with those still up for adoption and first is Ms. Suzie Q. She’s a seven month old Lab Mix and she’s photographed here with her foster Mom, Alexa. As you can see from the “Before” image that Alexa shared, this poor nugget was suffering from a horrible case of Demodectic Mange. Alexa raised money on the LHK9 Annual trip to the south this Spring and sponsored her recovery and transport to safety. As you can see here, Suzie Q has gone from only three hairs on her entire body to being completely healed up and she’s ready to go home.
Next is sweet Cola. This was my second time photographing her and I fall in love more each time. It’s impossible not to be smitten. She was an owner surrender and would love to find a loving home in her later years. She’s about 9-10 and is a Pit Lab Mix. She has some arthritis but she doesn’t let that get her down. She loves to run the beach and is just an all round good girl who deserves nothing but the best. She’s photographed here with her foster Mom, Courtney.
We didn’t have much time with Moo Shu at this event because it was really just too hot and crowded for this guy. He’s a Shar Pei Mix and just over a year old. Here’s a few portraits of that adorable smoosh face and you can find many more on the Last Hope K9 website and in his album here on their Facebook page too.
Everybody loves Raymond (R7!) This adorable little four month old Plott Hound has already gone home. Yay Raymond!
Iggy is a eight month old Border Collie Mix and still available at the moment. He’ll be at the LHK9 Adoption Event this weekend at Trillium Brewery in Canton, MA.
Grayson 30A is the cutest sixteen week old Dachshund Mix and he found his new forever home with Joanna + Dan who are photographed here. Happy tails, little guy!
Gabe, super friendly Bassett Lab Mix, also has gone home! He’s photographed here with his new parents, Erik + Alec.
Finally Boo Two. I’m a big dog kinda girl BUT if I were to ever have a little one it would be this guy. SO cute. That little tail CONSTANTLY wagging like a perpetual “Boomerang”! His contract is in and hopefully he will be home soon with his new family picture below. First the nice furever family portrait followed by my favorites: the outtakes. Love.
KLP volunteers to photograph for LHK9 when our schedule allows. It’s our way of giving back and doing what we can to help dogs that would otherwise have no hope to find a new life. We are forever grateful for the unwavering dedication by the all volunteer LHK9 Team. It takes a village and happy to be a small part of this one. Big thanks to Mystic Brewery for hosting the event. This was our third time shooting at the location and we love it! Lastly, thank you to Carlyn who assisted on the shoot. Are you fostering yet?! 😉
