Boston Photographer ~ No Kings 3.0 Boston Common Rally March 2026

The birthplace of the revolution never disappoints. Over 180K people gathered in solidarity on the Boston Common last Saturday 3/28/26 for the No Kings 3.0 Protest. And if we didn’t have crumbling infrastructure in this failing country, thousands more from the North Shore who were disenfranchised due to lack of trains into the city would have been there too. But I digress.

The city was abuzz with resistance and attending these mass protests is not only imperative in the fight to save our democracy, it’s also good for the soul. Being surrounded by like minded people who give a shit matters.

This was my third No Kings (1.0 in Seattle and 2.0 last fall in Boston) and they are always so well planned and organized. I landed down front pretty quickly and usually only stay there for a bit before exploring more angles photographically but I decided to stay put for this one to not only hear and photograph the speakers (nothing better than a fired up Elizabeth Warren!) but also to see the Dropkick Murphys perform too. Their song “First Class Loser” was the perfect anthem for the day rebuking everything DJT but the highlight was singing along with the lyrical change from their iconic “I’m Shipping Up to Boston” to “Shipping ICE outta Boston” at the finale.

Here are few highlights from the day. If you’re looking to get more involved, find an Indivisibles chapter near you HERE.

I also want to give a shout out to my dedicated local resisters at Hands Off Beverly here too. I was only able to drive through on Saturday morning just after 11AM on my way into town and it was already bumping. I’ve heard estimates of over 2K. If you’ve never protested, this is a great place to start on the North Shore. They are every Saturday 11AM to 12PM at Odell Park (in front of the post office on Rantoul) and Wednesdays 5:30PM to 6:30PM in front of the First Parish Church 225 Cabot St., Beverly MA.
