I first met Sizen at her Newburyport High School Senior Session back in the Summer of 2020 (!!) With my love and connections with her home country of Nepal, we formed an immediate bond. She later became one of my seasonal assistants and still helps me out on shoots when she’s available. So, capturing this next milestone in her life – graduating from Suffolk University – was especially meaningful for us both.
She had her boyfriend and Mom along for the session as both portable garment racks and, of course, to capture moments with them as well (Congrats to Saurav who is graduating next weekend from University of New Hampshire too!) We met up and started at a couple Suffolk buildings on Tremont Street and then headed over to the Boston Common and up Freedom Trail to the MA State House.
From there she changed from her Mom’s beautiful light pale floral sari into an equally gorgeous outfit #2 – a yellow dress with white 3D white tulips which we found along Beacon Street and later in the Public Garden too. As the sun began to set, we headed over the Storrow Drive Pedestrian Bridge on to the Esplanade and ended at the Charles River Dock to pop some champagne in silhouette against the dramatic city skyline. With Boston in full bloom on this gorgeous Spring day, it all serendipitously fell into perfect place (and we def got our steps in!)
Congratulations Sizen on all you’ve accomplished! Can’t wait to see what you do next. xx Kiki Didi
