I first met little five year old Charlotte in the Summer of 2014 at her Family’s first KLP Portrait Session when they were over from the UK on the Cape. I’ve since had sessions with them in London (2019) and their country home in the Cotswolds (2025) so was thrilled when her Mom booked her Senior Portraits and they flew over the pond for some New England summer fun. Senior Portraits aren’t a thing in the UK but since Mom is American it was a milestone that they wanted to capture.

Mother Nature gave us a bit of a worry as they were heading out in a couple of days and an unusual summer Nor’easter (!!!) blew in the day before their scheduled session. But, they remained flexible the day of and we all kept the faith. Not only did we luck out with sublime overcast skies offering up the ultimate portraiture lighting, after a quick passing few drops (big dome umbrella always on hand to protect the sacred Senior’s hair!), the sunset that peeked out of the dramatic clouds reflecting on the water for a classic silhouette was the perfect ending.

Because we always do their Viewing + Design Sessions virtually and I drop ship the Signature Albums and Wall Art, I don’t get to see their pieces unless I’m back in the UK. Thankfully Mom sent me this shot of the new 24×36 Canvas of the girls and the 12×18 Maple Wood of the whole family from their 2025 session so I could see them up in their new home. (Not pictured is another Maple Wood of their adorable pup Archie hanging in another spot.) Looking forward to hopefully seeing these in person someday too. 😉
