KLP was over at Just Dogs Newburyport this past Saturday to photograph some Last Hope K9’s rescue dogs up for adoption. Seven dogs and two got deposits with lots of interest in the others so quite a successful afternoon in the world of animal rescue. If you see a little four legged friend here that you’d like to scoop up, head over to their website ASAP to fill out an application here. They have events all over the Greater Boston area every weekend which you can subscribe to on their Facebook Events page too. Pretty amazing work by this all volunteer dog rescue organization!
First up here is adorable little Delta whose a Jack Russell Mix. She’s about 5 months old and 20 lbs. It was a chilly Fall day in the Port and by the end of the event, she couldn’t have been more adorable nestled up in a little blanket sleeping on the sidewalk. Love.
Handsome Monti is an eight month old male pit mix about 40 lbs. Lots of puppy energy wrapped up in the classic lovable pit package. Total goofball who, after playing with his toys and foster siblings, likes nothing better than a good snuggle with his humans on the couch.
Here we have tiny (15 lbs) Elly Mae Clampett whose the Mom of the Beverly Hillbillies Puppies. She’s a Chi Mix whose had rough start to life and is more than ready and deserving of some serious love and adoration from a new forever family.
Eunice, like all pits, is a super happy people person. She’s an eleven month old pit mix and weighs about 45lbs. She needs lots of love and would be best in a home where she’d be included often and considered a member of the family.
Next is Reba who is a 1.5 year old boxer mix. She was super chill little lovebug who just wanted to see everything going on around her and wasn’t very interested in being photographed but Kevin and I did our best. 😉 Love her Boxer-like snaggle tooth shot.
Here’s Echo a rat terrier mix who got a deposit on Saturday (Yay!) While I usually try to focus my attention getting beautiful portraits of dogs who haven’t gotten deposits, it was hard not to capture this little ball of energy in action. He’s photographed here with his foster Mom and his new forever family. I jokingly suggested they adopt another dog and name it The Bunnymen! 😉
Zippy, who totally lived up to his namesake, had an deposit right away and he is photographed here with his new family. His new Mom may kill me but I love the one of them together. Says it all. Happy trails to this little guy headed to Woburn to his forever home! xx
Outtakes are always fun. Patient little Delta getting propped up for a portrait lost in her handler’s locks. So cute.
To find out more information about the dogs you see here, go to the LHK9 FB page and click on their Photo Albums. There they will give you a more comprehensive overview of each dog.
Thank you to Judy for hosting and Ivy Lane for always generously letting us shoot in their photogenic little courtyard. xx
