Another perfect Fall day in downtown Newburyport yesterday for the Last Hope K9 Rescue Adoption Event at the Public Library. It’s always a happy day when I get to play with and photograph rescue dogs and genuinely love capturing their individual personalities so they shine and hopefully find their new forever homes. Four dogs were in attendance at this event and lots of people stopping by to meet them. This was my third time photographing Eunice and, I am so happy to say, my last (as a dog up for adoption anyway!) She has finally found her new home and it made my day (week, really!) to see her with her new Mom + Dad. Here’s some highlights from the afternoon. To find more information on each dog, just click on their name below to be linked to their album on the LHK9 FB Event Page.
Meet ALICE a ten month old lab mix who is blind in one eye due to a birth defect. She’s a sweet girl and quite chill for a puppy! She was understandably more excited to see everyone coming in and out of the library than posing for my cheesy little book set up but we still got a few keepers. 😉
Alice actively looking at the event (and online!) for her new furever home. 😉
Next is DELLA whose a hound mix about 3-4 years old and weighs 70 pounds. She’s super friendly and loves people (as you can see here!)
This was my second time photographing ROSCOE. What a sweet boy. He’s blind but he doesn’t let that get him down. He’s a super chill eight year old Cocker Spaniel who’d like nothing better than to snuggle on your lap. I met one of his potential adopters so fingers crossed! xx
He humored me with the silly book setup too but really prefers audio tapes. 😉
Finally this bundle of love, energy and joy – EUNICE! I loved her the second I met her at another event at Just Dogs Newburyport a couple of months back. This was my third time working with her and was over the moon when a super nice couple, Monica + Greg, decided to add her to their family. Happy Tails Pretty Girl! xx
Thank you to the Newburyport Public Library for hosting the event. What a great space! Look forward to photographing more adoption events there in future.
