First In-Person Last Hope K9 Rescue event at Encore Boston Harbor since the pandemic hit last Spring and it was not only so much fun but a smashing success. Seventeen dogs in attendance looking for their forever homes and just over half got adopted that day or received deposits for their pending adoption. Woohoo! I loved the space and it was SO nice to see all my fave LHK9 volunteers again after so long too. With so many dogs, I’ve highlighted four here at the start of the blog who are still available for adoption and who needed a little extra TLC because these events clearly aren’t the best platform to shine for dogs who are shy and don’t love crowds and lots of action. If you want to learn more about these dogs and/or any of the other ones also highlighted, click HERE. If you make it all the way to end, you’ll see a couple of the dogs who did get scooped up and are photographed with their new forever peeps too!

- Jill’s enthusiastic welcome to the LHK9 Encore Event!
- BANDIT is photographed here with his foster Mom Katie. He’s a 1.5 year old Border Collie who loves other dogs but just needs some training to be the perfect gentleman. Also possible candidate for best #tonguetuesday winner ever.
- SASHA is a husky/beagle/shepherd/chow chow mix who is about seven years old. She is super loyal and sweet but needs slow intros to both humans and dogs. She needs to be the only pet and would do best in a home in the suburbs outside the bustling city. And OMG those yellow lashes. Love.
- YONK is as goofy and awesome as he looks here. He’s two years old but still thinks he’s a puppy. He’s an adorable ball of energy who needs lots of exercise and some more training. He loves all dogs and people and is good with cats and best with older kids just because he hasn’t a clue what a lovable bulldozer he really is.
- DUMAS WALKER is a really sweet but super shy Treeing Walker Coonhound whose soulful eyes will melt your heart. He was at the event with his foster Auntie Jessica and is currently in Barnstable MA on the Cape.
