Boston Dog Photographer ~ LHK9 Rescue at Gentile Brewery Beverly MA

Five and half years ago, I volunteered for the first time with Greater Boston’s Last Hope K9 Rescue. I saw an adoption event they were having in Newburyport at Just Dogs and offered my services of professional portraits to help get their pups to their furever homes. Little did I know then that I would continue to help them when the studio scheduled allowed for years to come. I love this rescue and getting to know so many of the dedicated and fearless volunteers who keep it thriving has been an added bonus. It had been awhile since my last LHK9 event due to scheduling issues but finally this past Sunday, I was able to help with a fundraiser at Gentile Brewery which is also (conveniently!) in my hometown of Beverly, MA. This time I played a different role as this wasn’t a regular Meet + Greet but a raffle to raise money and awareness for the non profit. The little mascot for the day was the sweetest black lab puppy named Alex. He totally stole the show within minutes of his arrival having people immediately on their phones getting their adoption applications in. Reese, an 18 month old pit mix, also showed up with her awesome foster Mom + Dad too. The final tally raised for the afternoon was $600 which include the brewery’s donation from the 2018 sales of their Brew Dawg Treats. I had a blast. It was a great day out.
