New York Dog Photographer ~ Stand Up for Pits Gotham Comedy NYC

It was a full house Sunday night at Gotham Comedy for the 9th Annual Stand Up for Pits Fundraiser in NYC. After shooting both shows in Boston earlier in the week, I headed down to cover this event too unable to pass on the opportunity to help to continue to shine a light on the fight to end breed discrimination of the much maligned “pit bull type” dogs. My own love for pitties started almost six years ago when I began volunteering with Boston’s Last Hope K9 Rescue and has turned into a mild obsession. And the velvet hippos from local NY shelters Twenty Paws Rescue and Shelter Chic – Sarge (TPR), Polar Bear (SC) and Dillinger (SC) – were no exception. Here’s a few highlights from the event including the all star line up of comedians who came out to support Rebecca Corry and her mission to end the false stereotypes and give every single pibble/sofa seal the love and happy furever homes they deserve.
