I always look forward to the Last Hope K9 events at Just Dogs in Downtown Newburyport. It was a cold one today and only two dogs were able to make the trip up but, not only did we get some great photographs of each, Harmony got a deposit today and lots of interest in little Jillian too. So “Boo!” that winter is on the way but “Yay!” that hopefully both will be in there forever homes soon! First up is Jillian who is a 1.5 year old Schnauzer and Chinese Crested mix. She had her pink little sweater AND a warm fleece on and since she’s such a little peanut we only got a few nice portraits of her so she wouldn’t get too cold. As always, Ivy Lane provided the perfect backdrop for these sessions and she was such a good girl posing up on the hay stack. She’s a chill love bug who (as you can see here) just loves to be held and snuggle. She’s photographed here too with volunteer Aimee whom I had the pleasure of meeting at Dog Day at Fenway this summer – one of the many rock star LHK9 foster moms who love and care for these dogs while they are up for adoption.
Next is Harmony. Those eyes. Can you stand it? Clearly I couldn’t. She’s a 10 month old Aussie/Pyr mix. Super soft and super sweet. Jesse put a deposit on her today so we got a couple of photos of them together. She’s also giving some love to her awesome foster Mom, Erin, too. I could have photographed her all day.
Big thanks to Just Dogs for hosting and Ivy Lane for the beautiful Fall setting.
