It was a dog and puppy filled Sunday afternoon at the KLP Newburyport Studio last weekend. While I usually go out to Last Hope K9’s Adoption Events in the Greater Boston and Southern NH area to photograph their dogs up for adoption when I have the availability, this time they came to us. Seven of them including three puppies. The Puppy Pen in the main studio was (obviously!) a big hit. The place was packed. Shout out to the Newburyport Daily News for featuring the event in both their Health Beat column and their Lookout Entertainment Roundup. As always I will start with the dogs who didn’t get deposits yet and were still available and looking for their new loving forever homes:
First up is Ebony who is a two year old Pit Mix recently rescued from a shelter in West Memphis. She is a sweet girl full of energy and loves people and other dogs.
Next is Ms. Lucy another Pit Mix. Oh how I wanted to put a deposit on her myself and may just do it if she’s available after my big move in a couple of weeks. So gorgeous and sweet. She had just come out of quarantine after being transported up from the South the day before. You would never have known it. She was so good with her foster Mom, Alison, and was a photogenic ham for the camera.
Next we have kind and gentle little Dippy. He’s a four year old Dachshund mix (14 pounds!) who was rescued from a hoarding situation and then was pulled from a kill shelter an hour before he was scheduled to be euthanized. He’s ready for his new lease on life with a family who will shower him with love and affection.
Next up are Alice and Dorcas who are Akita and Pit Mixes from the Seven Brides for Seven Brothers litter. They are about fourteen weeks old and Dorcas got a deposit on Sunday but (oddly?!) Alice hadn’t yet. I can’t imagine she won’t get scooped up soon. So cute!

Happy to report that adorable little Stein German Beer found his awesome forever Mom and Dad too. He’s a happy little shepherd mix who won his new sister “Mia” over in their Liberty Street Meet and Greet.
Last up is Miss Bee who had several suitors for obvious reasons. Adorable. She is hopefully going home soon with her new Mom Jean Marie and will be living the dream up in Portsmouth, NH.
Thank you for checking out the KLP blog! And of course huge thanks to all the dedicated volunteers who make LHK9 rock. So many dogs placed every week. It’s truly amazing.
Quick last shameless request if you love our Portrait work (we not only photograph dogs but humans too!) KLP was recently nominated as the Best Portrait Photographer by North Shore Magazine.
