The Ramirez Family ~ Wedding, Maternity + Newborn Photography

I first met Maite and Francisco in 2009. They had been referred to KLP for their upcoming August 2010 Wedding and it was a perfect match. Fast forward three years. In October they were the first clients in my new Newburyport Studio where we did their Maternity Session (inside and a few out!) and then, on December 1st, their beautiful baby daughter Perla came into this world and made their wonderful lives shine even brighter. I got the text from the hospital bed and we booked Perla’s first big photo shoot for the following Wednesday when she would be 10 days old. Generally this is the perfect time frame as 10 day old babies usually sleep most of the time allowing for several outfit and cute little set changes. But not Perla! She was very hungry and very awake for most of the three hour session. But she did shut her eyes for us for few minutes at a time and one of my favorite shots is one with her sleeping on the beautiful hand knit blanket made by her grandmother. The newborn session was shot on location in their Boston home. Right in Perla’s nursery and I love this as this is where she will begin her journey in life surrounded by warmth and love.

Families, babies, life – all change so quickly. How wonderful to have these celebrated life events captured forever.
