Boston Dog Photographer – Simba from Last Hope K9 Rescue at the Boston Seaport

It was windy but beautiful Spring night in the Seaport last week for our special one-on-one photo shoot with Last Hope K9’s long term foster Simba. He has been with his foster Mom Katie since last September and is still patiently waiting to find his perfect forever match.

Simba’s Deets: He is a very sweet and clever 2.5 year old Shepard/Pit Mix who is highly motivated and understands sit and paw very well. He is house trained, crate trained and throughly enjoys a good snooze in the sun. One of his all time favorite things to do is be the copilot in car rides and he never turns down a good game of fetch so a home with fenced in backyard would be a bonus. He is a big snuggle bunny and loves his chill couch time but also has lots of energy and would be best with an active person or family who could take him on regular walks and hikes. While he gets very excited and wants to meet other dogs, he needs slow intros and will not do well at dog parks or other unstructured environments. If there is a dog in the home already, his ideal canine sibling is a calmer adult female dog but no cats, please. And because he looovves to be around his people, he is easily excitable and needs a home with older kids preferably too.

Shout out to his awesome Foster Mom Katie who celebrated two years of fostering in March. Simba is her ninth in total (see cute photo of them all below.) She got involved after seeing all the foster pups that her friend helped get to their final forever homes and loves being a part of each of their journeys.

Fun fact: This was my second time photographing her with a foster pup as I covered the Encore Adoption Event last August and met her there with Bandit. (Cute photo of those two also below!)
