Newburyport Travel Photographer ~ Sea Lions in the Galápagos, Ecuador

I don’t really have a bucket list per se as I have been so lucky to have built a life that has allowed me to see so much of the world. But now as my sojourns are shorter (usually only about three weeks or so during the winter months), I’ve been focusing on those trips that I couldn’t have done while traveling on a budget for months or a year at at time. Last year’s adventures with mountain gorillas and safari drives in Uganda definitely fell under the Trip-of-a-Lifetime category. Thus, this winter when I was looking at my short list of places for my 2020 travels, I went with another destination that I felt would be something that I would never regret. Ecuador and The Galápagos did not let me down. In fact it was far more magical and amazing that I could ever have imagined. I’m currently now still in self isolation from flying out last Monday night (that is a whole other story!) and getting to work on all the images and fun GoPro footage I shot along the way. Kicking off sharing some of my images with the adorable and beloved Galapagos Sea Lions. They are smaller than the ones you may have seen in California but very chill and friendly. And they are everywhere. Particularly on the island of San Cristobal where you literally have to watch where you step as not to accidentally disturb or hurt them.
