If I have an ideal wedding to photograph, this is it. Nicole and Kevin have been together already for six years. They rented this adorable beach house on Salisbury Beach last year for over a month and, when they booked it again this year, decided rather spontaneously to do a very small beachside wedding. They really wanted to keep this as simple and intimate as possible – a ceremony and celebration with their nearest and dearest. When I got the list of attendees of fourteen (including the bride and groom) and saw the last two were Peanut and Chip – their cats – I knew this was going to be a fun afternoon. And it only got better when I saw the bottles of Veuve Cliquot throughout the house when I arrived. Clearly we were a perfect match. After the ceremony we headed down to the main area of Salisbury Beach for some photos (Joe’s Playland and Happy Fried Dough were a must!) then back by the New Hampshire border where we found a secluded long boardwalk. I love all these portraits. We then headed back to the party at the house where local favorite Brown’s Lobster Pound and Seafood was the main fare. It really is about telling stories no matter how big or small. And once again feel honored to have been able to tell theirs this past Memorial Day weekend too. Congrats Nicole + Kevin!

Note: No cats were harmed in the process of putting on their wedding day attire. 😉
And a big Thank You to my fabulous assistant Megan who rocked it.
